A must-see 24-hour show at London’s Young Vic

19–20 May 2023

One woman. One hundred men. One scene. Twenty-four hours.

House of Oz is proud to support The Second Woman, performed by twice Olivier and Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson, in association with LIFT Festival at Young Vic on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th May 2023.

Created by Nat Randall and Anna Breckon, The Second Woman was described by The Guardian as “one of the finest examples of independent Australian theatre in years.”

In a feat of dazzling talent and endurance, Ruth Wilson will perform a repeating scene of love and lust lost over a twenty-four-hour period with a carousel of male performers.

Inspired by John Cassavetes' film Opening Night, none of the 100 male performers has rehearsed with Wilson's Virginia, and many will not be trained actors at all.

Whether you watch the scene once or settle in for the whole 24 hours, The Second Woman is a must-see theatrical and cinematic experience.
